Rayavarapu Phanindra began his Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) course like many other students – by flipping through an advertisement and recognizing Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM) could take his career where he wanted to be.
Starting his course at VJIM, Phanindra noticed that the classes he enjoyed the most were in finance and accounting. After reaching a decision in his plan of study to Finance, Phanindra landed his summer internship at JMarathon Advisory Services. Phanindra credits the student placement department with successfully helping him obtain internship as a financial analyst.
RAYAVARAPU“During the internship placement period at VJIM, I was in constant contact with the placement department. Once you are clear about where you want to work and what you want to do, the faculty will assist you in getting there,” Rayavarapu Phanindra said.
By getting into JMarathon, Phanindra found an ideal opportunity to seek first-hand experience in stock trading and share market. To enhance his portfolio, he further worked on a project on the derivatives market in India. Phanindra’s time at JMarathon provided the practical experience he sought and helped guide his approach and eventually career. “It is certain this collection of experiences will make my resume stand out for future opportunities,” adds Phanindra.
Phanindra says what he found the most challenging about his time at JMarathon was making conversions for the stock market trading course and convincing how subscribers would benefit out of it. However, with extensive training, networking, and experience, Phanindra was able to perform and the job role proved to be the right choice for him.
“Being able to work and analyse actual trade market helped me put in practice everything I learned in the classroom. VJIM’s placement faculty members took us under their wing and helped us understand what we should be looking for in an internship opportunity,” Phanindra said.
And Phanindra added, the faculty and staff has played an invaluable part in his journey at VJIM.
