An interactive seminar on Creative Dimensions in Learning was conducted on the 22nd of August, 2015. The session began with Mr. MS Rao who spoke about How Human Resources has changed after LPG (Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization). Mr. Rao, briefed the students on the core aspects of Human Resources like – Recruitment and Selection, Organizational Development, Intervention, Grievance Handling, Training and Development and Industrial Relations.
He also spoke about the importance of innovation and how it becomes the driving force for any organization to succeed. He also explained to us, how innovation is usually only possible in organizations that are ready to change.
The facilitator for the second half of the session was Mr. Anand Reddy who spoke about the different ways in which employees of Generation X and Generation Y need to be handled by the Human Resource Department. He also spoke about the importance of training in any organization. Mr. Reddy stressed on the point that it is necessary for the Learning and Development Department to keep upgrading the employees of the organization. It is through such Training and Engagement activities that new leaders are created; as a result of which, employees tend to be more engaged and once that happens; these organizations would have more satisfied customers.
The session ended with a Q&A session by the facilitators to clarify doubts and queries.
